Gaeta is home to several beaches characterized by fine, light-colored sand, clear waters, and lush Mediterranean vegetation.
Here are some we recommend:
Serapo Beach
This is the closest beach to the city center and the old town, just 1.5 km from our property. It features numerous beach establishments and is very popular, especially with families who enjoy long stretches of fine, golden sand that are easy to reach.
Fontania Beach
In ancient times, its stunning location made it a choice residence for the Roman consul Gnaeus Fonteius. Today, it still holds the remains of the grand Roman villa dating back to the 1st century AD. The sea contains the remains of six large pilings, suggesting that this cove once hosted a large pool connected to the sea.
Beach of the 40 Oars
This small beach can only be reached by boat, canoe, or swimming. Its name refers to the number of oar strokes needed to reach it from nearby docks. Not far from the Beach of the 40 Oars is the Devil’s Well, a cave that opens into the rock.
Ariana Beach
An equipped beach featuring clear waters and fine sands, making it an ideal place for a relaxing day.
Arenauta Beach
Also known as the Beach of the 300 Steps, named for the long staircase with 300 steps leading to it. Its fine, golden sand and transparent water make this spot unforgettable. The beach is equipped with facilities.
